What does workforce housing mean to your community?
86% of residents surveyed in the Grand Traverse region said that our communities should encourage more affordable housing. But where do we start?
At the Creating Housing Choices Regional Conference, participants learned about the region’s housing needs, and what our communities can do together to create more housing choices for all residents. Participants discussed the results of a detailed 5-county housing needs assessment; learned about housing trust funds, land banks, local housing initiatives, and green building; and heard how implementation of the preferred Grand Vision scenario may impact housing over the coming years.
